Our Political Polarization

"We share faith but have a different political analysis..."
~ Sister Simone Campbell, Nuns on a Bus, describing her relationship to the Pope [CNN Starting Point interview, July 3, 2012]

I think ALL CHRISTIANS could adopt this phrase to describe our relationship to one another in this country at this time--not describing our relationship to the Pope, but rather our relationship to one other.

Conscientious Christians--Republicans, Democrats, Independents, non-affiliated, or Libertarians--can not allow the political polarization to make us loose sight of the fact that we do share a common faith in the risen Lord even though we have a different political analysis of our present situation in the USA. Whether liberal or conservative we still worship the same risen Lord. That ought to count for something.
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." ~ Ephesians 4:3
