Life Goes On

I started a new blog a couple of weeks back--a delayed project, actually. For several weeks I had considered blogging my Lenten sermons for the congregation, but I procrastinated until the third week of Lent when I finally got 'a round tuit.' So for the lasts few weeks I have been putting my extra minutes into that project. Now that I am current on that blog, perhaps I will be back to this spot more often. But, then again, who knows.

In the last few weeks I have assisted with two funerals (eight days apart). Two weeks ago I began pre-marital counseling with a couple whose wedding is scheduled for Easter Sunday afternoon. All of these are only indirectly related to the congregation, but being invited into these significant moments in the life of a family is a blessing I cherish.

Last Wednesday I had a doctor's appointment. My bp was elevated so now I am on bp medication. My lab report came in today saying that my electrolytes, thyroid, kidney and liver functions were normal. Good news, I guess. (I sort of hoped my thyroid needed help and that that would be the answer to the 15 lb. weight gain in the last six months.) Next Friday I am scheduled for a CT scan of my head and an u/s on both carotids. As I said, life goes on.
