With one week to live before his crucifixion...
~ Jesus continued to intentionally reveal the heart of the Father to a broken world.
~ He demonstrated a passion for godliness, weeping over the city that would reject him; upsetting the money changers who were corrupting the temple worship.
~ Jesus intentionally worshipped with others, the Passover celebration being important to him.
~ Prayer was important to Jesus from the beginning of the week to the very end. At the temple he yelled, "My Father's house is called a house of prayer..." And from the cross he prayed, "Father, forgive them..."
~ Jesus persevered to the end, willing to endure whatever this world threw at him; enduring even unto death so that the power of life and the glory of God might be revealed in his resurrection.
What can we learn from Jesus during this final week?
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:5-8
Even to the very end, we continue to learn from Jesus.
