Windows of Time

This afternoon I watched the movie, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Being less than a month since my 92 year-old father died I was reminded of the truth of the premise of the movie: throughout life we are given windows of time to begin and nurture relationships but both parties must be attuned to the priority of the relationship.

The movie makes this point in a most unusual and curious manner, but as I reflect on my own father/daughter relationship I find this to be true whether you are born "old" and grow "young" like Benjamin or whether you are born young and grow old.

Isn't there a scripture somewhere that says something about making the most to the time?
